RULES OF PRACTICE 2.0
SHOW UP
The most important thing you can do is be here.
If you miss too many practices we cannot put you on stage. Do not come late or bail early!
If you can’t be here you must contact Samantha or Mike at
Samantha@UBACE.Org or
Admin@RoyalJam.Com
BE READY
Bring whatever equipment you need to do your thing.
If you need something we’ll help you arrange for it.
Electrified Musicians : Find out how many watts your amp uses and what model it is!
(There will be a quiz.)
BE QUIET
Leave your noodles in your Chinese soup. Seriously.
If you aren’t playing with us, stop playing. It’s very distracting.
Please tune at low or no volume. Tuners are around for your use.
Do not reveal show secrets outside of UBACE! Don’t ruin the surprises!
When you are not needed on a particular song please remain ready
for whatever may come next. Do not leave the building between songs!
DO YOUR HOMEWORK AT HOME
Learn your parts at home. Time is very limited, and many things go on at once.
Practice moves quickly, so please pay attention to everything that is going on.
Lyrics and chord charts for most of the songs are available at Www.Chordie.Com.
TURN OFF YOUR CELL PHONE
Practice is Thursday 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM and Saturday 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM.
You should plan on attending them all. Adjust your schedule accordingly now.
GET HELP
Many of the songs are difficult, but there are people around who will help
you with them. Seek them out. Accept any help or gear that’s offered. You’ll need it.
GIVE HELP
Learn all your parts, and as many other parts as possible in case someone gets sick.
UBACE Veterans : Help other musicians with their parts and gear if you can. They’ll need it.
KEEP YOUR GAME ON
It’s important that you come to UBACE ready to be serious about this show.
So
NO DRUGS, NO BOOZE, NO SMOKING, NO BAD LANGUAGE, NO STUPID.
Over the years, as UBACE developed and you guys improved, every show has been better than the last.
A large amount of money is contributed to make these shows possible, but we need to
sell 800 tickets to make this show a sell-out. Can your music do that?
With your help, we think so.
This is the first show of ‘modern music’ primarily selected by the UBACE musicians,
and your opportunity to prove that it’s been too long in coming.
